€24 million in new funding for the Midlands region

Local Fianna Fáil Senator, Fiona O'Loughlin, has today welcomed the announcement of €24 million in new funding for the Midlands region under Ireland’s EU Just Transition Fund (JTF) programme, to provide targeted funding to projects that invest in the development of local communities, create employment and help diversify the local economy.

Senator O'Loughlin said: “this new funding will be of huge help to communities, businesses and workers in the Athy and Clane-Maynooth Municipal Districts designated under the EU Just Transition Fund."
