If the planned expansion goes ahead, it would represent one of the largest recent jobs announcements for Naas and provide a major employment boost for Kildare.
A €70 million investment in a Naas-based engineering company could see around 200 new jobs created in Kildare.
Engineering firm OFS, which is headquartered in Millennium Park, is set to double its workforce from approximately 200 to 400 employees following new investment from private equity firm Exponent.
The company provides specialist engineering services to the energy sector and operates in more than 40 countries, working with clients across the oil and gas, power generation, renewable energy and industrial sectors.
The investment comes as demand for gas turbine and services continues to grow, with increasing activity linked to data centre developments.
Mayor of Naas, Councillor Bill Clear, welcomed the announcement, describing it as a significant boost for both the town and the wider county.
He said the expansion has the potential to create hundreds of skilled jobs while also supporting local businesses and strengthening the area's economy.
