The turret on the Church of the Assumption and St Patrick was damaged during Storm Elin
Rathangan Parish says efforts are ongoing to repair the damage caused by Storm Elin last week to parts of the Church of the Assumption and St Patrick.
The Church has been closed to the public since Saturday and services have been streamed online to parishioners.
Part of the turret was damaged and temporary measures will now be needed for the health and safety of mass-goers, due to the potential risk of further debris falling.
Parish Priest, Fr. Bill Kemmy, says a number of options are on the table.
