Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes as diversions will be in place to manage traffic during the closure.

The Alexandra Bridge on the R407 Sallins to Clane Road will be closed to traffic from 8pm this evening until 6am tomorrow morning for emergency repairs.

Authorities have warned that the closure is necessary for the safety of the public and to carry out essential maintenance work.

Drivers are urged to follow signage directing them to the diversion routes.
