Crookstown Service Station
Some lucky person is celebrating today - either in the Crookstown area or a passing motorist from elsewhere.
Proprietor Seamus Reilly has confirmed that his Crookstown Service Station has sold the winning €500,000 ticket in last night's Euro Millions Draw.
He confirmed that the ticket was sold from his store yesterday and the liklihood is that the winner is local.
He told Kfm that he hopes "that the winner is local; it would give everone a lift from the current tough times."
This is the third big win for the Service Station having sold two previous winning lotto tickets, In April 2021, one of their customers won a €1 million top prize in the Lotto Plus 1 game while in 2007
They also sold a Lotto jackpot ticket worth €2 million. Several other large amounts were also won including one last year on a scratch card for €100,000.
The excitement generated in the local area when a big lotto win is announced, lifts everyone’s spirits. Crookstown has a great community spirit and with at least 50% of their customers living close by they will be hoping that it’s a local win.
It is a family run business, in rural South Kildare , owned by the O Reilly family for over 40 years with a eam of friendly, hard working staff who have a great rapport with all the customers.
