Feasibility studies are being conducted on a Leixlip town centre site, to enable delivery of social homes.
The lands, a former ESB site, are being managed by Cluid Housing Agency.
Kildare County Council says the study is required as the site that houses the ESB mast is in the ownership of the ESB and the ESB have access rights through Kildare County Councils site.
Fianna Fáil Cllr. Bernard Caldwell raised the matter with KCC.
Speaking to Kildare Today, he says its been in the pipeline for a long time.
Cllr. Caldwell joined Eoin Beatty on Monday's edition of the programme on all of his motions before the May meeting of the Celbridge/Leixlip Municipal District.
