CSO figures compared burglaries from Q4 in 2024 with Q4 in 2025
Kildare had a 16% decrease in burglaries in Q4 of 2025, in comparison with the same period in 2024.
CSO data found that Kildare had 394 burglaries in the final period of 2025, in comparison to 470 in 2024.
The highest increase of burglaries across the country was seen in the Dublin Metropolitan Region Eastern Garda Division, with a 24% increase, increasing from 398 incidents in 2024 to 492 in the same period in 2025.
The highest decrease was for the Roscommon/Longford Garda Division, with a drop of 61%, which saw burglaries drop from 263 to 103.
The most burglaries took place in the Dublin South Central Division, while the least amount were in Cork West, with 50 incidents.
Overall, Dublin had 3,788 burglaries.
