Many of those waiting – including first-time buyers with young families – are vying for one of 30 properties available for purchase this weekend.
Queues of cars began forming as early as Tuesday outside the Harpur Lane estate in Leixlip.
By yesterday afternoon, two days ahead of the scheduled viewing, 19 potential buyers in 15 vehicles had already gathered at the site.
The development, which first opened in 2022, is offering approximately 25 homes, including two-bed, three-bed, and four-bed options.
Prices start at €460,000 for two-bed terraced houses, while three-bed terraces are listed from €495,000. Some larger homes are expected to be priced at €530,000 or more.
Viewings will take place from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
However, those already in line anticipate that the homes will be sold within the first hour.
Journalist Andrew Walsh from the Journal told Kfm what he saw when he visited the estate.
Meanwhile, Karl Deeter, CEO of OnlineApplication.com, says it's not an entirely new trend.
