The clubs are part of 108 successful clubs nationwide.
Five Kildare sports clubs will receive almost €308k in Sports Capital Appeals.
The five additional clubs are in Athy, Coill Dubh, Kilcullen, Suncroft and Leixlip, and are part of 108 successful clubs nationwide today securing combined funding of €307,633.
Athy Golf Club has been allocated €59,853.25 to fund a Short game Area and Machinery.
Coill Dubh AFC has been awarded €50,800.00 toward dressing room facilities.
Kilcullen AFC successfully appealed and have received €44,472.85 for their Grass Pitch Development.
Leixlip AFC got €119,338.94 for astro pitch development.
Suncroft Community Centre Walking/Jogging Track received € 33,168.27.
Kildare South TD Minister Martin Heydon commented: “It can be very disappointing for a club and its officials to be excluded from the list of successful applications when Sports Capital Grants are initially announced so this appeals process is a god send, giving clubs the opportunity to adjust areas of their applications where possible.
"In February a total of €5.4m was awarded to 79 Kildare Sports Clubs under the 2020 round of Sports Capital Grants.
“Having worked with some of the clubs to assist in the appeals process I know how much this second chance means to them.
"I am also happy to assist any club who has still been unsuccessful in the appeals process if they wish to contact me," concluded Minister Heydon.
Kildare Senator Fiona O’Loughlin has welcomed the additional €307,633.31 which her colleague the Minister for Sport Jack Chambers announced today.
The Fianna Fail Senator commented: “I welcomed Minister Jack Chambers to Kildare last year and escorted him on a tour of the County visiting many of great local clubs.
"I have continued to liaise with the Minister and his officials in the background throughout the appeals process and am delighted with todays announcement,” she added.
