Flood risks have increased in parts of County Kildare, with key pedestrian routes in Newbridge closed as river levels continue to rise.
The Liffey Linear Park walkway from the Athgarvan Road / The Gables entrance is no longer accessible due to flooding at the Strand, while the pedestrian bridge over the Butterstream, where it meets the River Liffey, also remains closed because of high water levels.
Kildare County Council says its Severe Weather Assessment Team is meeting daily, with crews on the ground monitoring conditions and preparing for potential flooding impacts.
The public is being urged not to interfere with safety barriers and to avoid swollen rivers and riverbanks.
