A 54-year-old woman has died, two weeks after being assaulted in her home in Carlow.
Linda Costello, a former resident of Castledermot and Ballyboden in Co. Dublin, was found with serious injuries at her residence on Bridge Street in Graiguecullen at 6am on Thursday, March 26.
The mother-of-two died as a result of her injuries on April 10.
The coroner was notified and a post-mortem examination has been conducted.
A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested in connection with the investigation, but has since been released.
Ms Costello is survived by her two children, Ben and Amy and their father Larry, parents Ronnie and Patricia, and her sister Samantha.
