Intake 244 have been sworn in as full members of An Garda Síochána at this morning's graduation
An Garda Síochána have sworn in 154 new members to its force, having held a graduation ceremony this morning at Garda College Templemore.
Four of the graduates will be stationed in Kildare.
Intake 244 arrived at the Garda College last December, and are the first graduating group to include trainees aged 35 to 50.
122 sworn in members were male, with 32 being female.
26 of the attested members were born outside the state, coming from: Australia, Belarus, Brazil, England, Germany, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and the United States.
A further 369 Garda recruits are currently undergoing the training programme at the Garda College.
The next intake of Garda recruits, in excess of 200 Garda Trainees, is scheduled to enter the Garda College on Monday 25th August 2025.
