The Ambassador wants to reinforce links between Ireland and France.
The French Ambassador to Ireland, Mr Vincent Guérend, will be visiting Kildare Town and Portarlington today.
"It's French outreach to our constituents,
" France is the closest EU partner to Ireland at the moment, both from a geographical point of view and a cultural point of view, post brexit," said Cathal Berry Independent TD for Kildare South.
"It's to reinforce the link between Ireland and France, " he added.
The itinerary for the Ambassador's visit is below:

11:00 Tour of St Paul’s Church.
11:30 Depart Portarlington.
13:15 French Lunch National Stud.
15:30 Ambassador departs stud.
