The culprits were arrested after they were involved in a collision.

Gardaí are investigating after a woman in Naas woke to find a man in her bedroom.

The incident happened at around 2am on November 6th in the Monread Court Estate.

It’s understood the man, acting with an accomplice, stole a MacBook and searched kitchen cupboards before leaving.

The laptop was later recovered.

A short time later, at around 3.45am, a van was broken into in the Brookland Estate in Clane, with over €600 worth of tools taken.

About 15 minutes after that, two men were arrested in Toolestown, near Maynooth, following a road traffic collision.

A number of items, including some of the stolen tools, were recovered.

Investigations are continuing.
