It is hoped to strengthen community safety, inclusion & integration.
Kildare Local Community Partnership links local communities with gardai and other stakeholders in the county.
The Community Safety Fund redirects the proceeds of crime seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) and An Garda Siochana back into communities to help create safer and stronger areas and bring positive change.
Across the country, 56 projects will receive funding from a record €4.84 million investment.
Grants ranging from €20,000 to €150,000 have been awarded to the successful projects.
Successful projects include support for community safety and local engagement, inclusion and integration of minority and marginalised groups, domestic, sexual & gender-based violence, and youth focused community safety.
