Detectives, supported by the anti corruption unit, carried out a number of searches yesterday in relation to organised crime within the Eastern Region.
It's after drugs, believed to be worth €100,000, were taken from an evidence locker in a garda station in January last year.
A garda was arrested under organised crime legislation.
Five people - four men and one woman - in their 30s, 40s and 50s - were detained for related alleged offences, including drug trafficking and corruption.
Two of the men have since been released, with files to go to the DPP.
