Gardaí are investigating an incident of attempted burglary in Broadford which occurred during daytime hours.

A resident in the Broadford area of Carbury witnessed four males in the garden of a home with their faces covered.
They then attempted to gain entry through the front and rear of the home, but failed to do so.
A white Volkswagen Sirrocco was seen by a witness leaving the scene at speed.
Leixlip Gardaí are now seeking any further witnesses to anything suspicious in the area during this time to contact them on 01-6667800.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Naas Garda Sarah O' Sullivan said that as we enter into the winter months, people should be more cautious.
She advised people to secure all doors and windows at all times, turn on indoor lights or use timer switches or smart plugs so your house looks "lived in", and to turn on house alarms every time you leave or go to sleep.
Other key advice includes hiding keys in secure areas, while also securing valuables, ensuring not to keep large amounts of cash or expensive jewellery at home.
