The incident occurred on the night of Saturday (22 August) on Millicent road.
Gardaí are investigating an attempted car hijacking that took place in Clane last week.
The incident occurred on the night of Saturday (22 August) on Millicent road at approximately 11:39pm.
During the incident, a couple were sitting in their car when a male knocked on their window and demanded they give him their car keys.
When they refused, he produced a sharp object and threatened the couple in the car.
One of the people in the car attempted to grab the sharp object from the male and sustained an injury to their hand in the process.
The suspect then fled and was later apprehended by Gardaí and a number of items used in the hijacking were recovered as well.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to come forward and contact Clane Gardaí on 045868262.
In a statement to Kfm News, Gardaí said that the incident concerned is currently before the courts.
