A couple were set-upon by four people on Henry Street.
Investigations are continuing in to a serious assault in Newbridge.
It happened on Tuesday, October 19th, when a couple was acosted on Henry Street, at around 11.40pm, by two male and two females.
The man was knocked to the ground, and kicked in the head and body.
Sgt. Pat Dunne is stationed at Newbridge.
Speaking to Kildare Today, he says the man was taken to Naas General.
