The incident took place in the building site at Ballynafagh Springs
Gardaí are appealing for information following the burglary and theft of vehicle at the new houses currently being built at Ballynafagh Springs, Cooleragh in Coill Dubh.
The incident occurred between 5pm on Monday and 8am on Tuesday.
After the site was locked up on Monday evening, a foreman entered the site on Tuesday morning to find a van missing from the site.
On further inspection, it was found that the porta cabin was broken into, and tools had been taken.
Entry into the porta cabin was made through a window, and keys were taken also.
This led to the unauthorised taking of a white Ford Transit Tipper with the registration 221 D 32431, which has not been recovered.
Gardaí are asking residents in Ballynafagh Springs and in the local area to come forward if they saw anything unusual, specifically around the 9pm mark on Monday night, as a similar type vehicle was seen leaving Ballynafagh Springs.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Naas Garda Station on 045 884 300.
