The incident occurred at the Applegreen on Moorefield Road, Newbridge
Gardaí are appealing for information following an incident that occurred last night, March 26th, in the Applegreen on Moorefield Road, Newbridge.
The incident occurred at 9.50pm.
A lone male entered the shop and produced a kitchen knife.
He demanded money from the cashier behind the counter, and made off with a sum of money.
He is described as being between 6 foot and 6'2" and of slim build, wearing a navy short sleeved top, a navy jacket with a grey hood, navy Nike tracksuit bottoms and dark Nike runners.
He left in the direction of Standhouse Road, behind the Applegreen.
Gardaí are asking those with any information to contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045 440 180.
