Gardaí Called To Newbridge Property After Dispute Between Alleged Bogus Tradesperson And Homeowner

By the time Gardaí arrived at the scene, the tradesperson had already left the area.

Gardaí were called to a property on Standhouse Road, Newbridge, last Thursday, June 19th, following a dispute between a homeowner and an alleged bogus tradesperson.

The incident occurred after a disagreement over payment for work carried out at the property.

It is understood that the individual involved is suspected of operating without proper credentials.

Gardai told Kfm that the incident comes amid a surge in demand for home improvement and maintenance work across the country.

With qualified tradespeople in short supply, Gardai have warned that this environment has created an opportunity for unverified individuals to exploit unsuspecting homeowners.

Homeowners are advised to verify the credentials of anyone offering services and, where possible, to rely on recommendations from trusted sources.
