A man in his 20s remains in Garda custody this evening in connection with the alleged assault of a young girl in Saggart.
Gardai said investigations are continuing.

The publication is reporting that his application for international protection was denied in 2024, and it is understood that a deportation order was issued against him in March.
Gardai have 24 hours to question the man before he is released or charged with an offence.
