It follows numerous reports online that the man in question was seen in Newbridge.
However, as of this morning, the man is still in custody since his arrest yesterday.
A video surfaced on TikTok in recent days, containing disturbing statements and suggestions of planned violence targeting young children.
After the video circulated, a group of people reportedly arrived at a makeshift campsite near the M4 motorway, dismantling the site used by the man.
The man was not harmed in the confrontation but fled the area shortly afterward.
He was later seen in Tallaght, where he is believed to have posted another video.
Gardai believe the man then travelled on foot from Tallaght to Abbeyleix, County Laois.
He was arrested in Abbeyleix and is currently being held at a garda station in the Eastern Region.
