Man in 20s arrested & nearly €500,000 of cocaine seized
Gardaí investigating an assault in Co. Carlow have arrested a man and seized a quantity of drugs.
Officers were called to the scene at a house in Tullow at approximately 3am on Monday morning, where a man was found with apparent stab wounds.
The 33 year old man was brought to St. Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny.
His condition is described as serious but stable.
A house in Tullow was searched during a follow up operation on Monday.
A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the alleged assault.
A large quantity of cocaine with a street value of €490,000 was also discovered inside the house.
The man is now being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, at Carlow Garda Station.
