Hazel Hall Nursing Home Operator In Clane Settles €161k Tax Bill After Audit

A Celbridge-based PAYE worker settled €129,830 after a Revenue review uncovered undeclared liabilities.

The latest Revenue defaulters list for the second quarter of 2025 includes two Kildare cases, totalling under three hundred thousand euro

Esker Properties Holdings Limited, trading as Hazel Hall Nursing Home in Clane, settled €161,457 with Revenue after an audit uncovered under-declaration of PAYE and related liabilities.

The company has no outstanding balance.

Irish novelist Darren O’Shaughnessy, known to readers worldwide as Darren Shan, tops the latest Revenue tax defaulters list.

The Limerick-based writer was audited for under-declaring income tax.

Revenue records show he has now fully paid a settlement totalling €2.1 million - comprising €1.44 million in tax, €271,090 in interest, and €432,227 in penalties.
