The project will also include reduced speed limits in the town
Naas has been included in a new Pathfinder project which will improve active travel infrastructure on the main street.
It will include walking and cycle lanes to schools, retail and residential areas and bus stops.
The project when complete, will include a HGV ban and reduced speed limits along the route.
A 45 metre extension along St. Corban's lane, and there will be improvements to the part way at Murtagh's Corner.
Footpath and cycle lanes will be constructed along the Kilcullen road and up towards Piper's Hill Secondary School.
Kfm understands the project will take between two and three years to complete.
