Home-Care Charities Rally Outside Health Department For Urgent Funding Boost

Speaking on behalf of the coalition, Catherine Cox from Family Carers Ireland, says they've also been asking for a 'statutory entitlement' to home-care since 2017.

A coalition of home-care charities and campaigners are gathering outside the Department of Health this morning to appeal for extra Government funds for home-care.

The Home Care Coalition is calling for extra support-hours, and additional recruitment and retention of home care workers, to help support a growing population of older people, and those with disabilities.

Speaking on behalf of the coalition, Catherine Cox from Family Carers Ireland, says they've also been asking for a 'statutory entitlement' to home-care since 2017.
