A man armed with a blade forced broke into a home in Newbridge yesterday.
When confronted by the homeowner, he swung the blade at them before fleeing.

Gardai in Newbridge are carrying out inquiries and are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, or who noticed suspicious activity, to contact them.
