It will be located at the former Model School
It’s hoped that the Food, Drinks and Skills Innovation Hub at the Model School in Athy will be completed by May 2025.
Kildare County Council says the Department of Rural and Community Development responded positively to its review of the Council’s procurement package.
A contractor for the project is expected to be appointed either late next February or early March, with work commencing by mid-March.
It will then take approximately 13 months for construction, with the anticipated completion date standing at May 2025.
