Today is International eWaste Day.
WEEE Ireland is asking households, farms, businesses, schools & community groups to redouble their eWaste recycling efforts.
It is estimated that 60 million tonnes of e-waste will be generated across the planet in last year.
Personal devices, like phones, tablets, TVs and laptops, account for around of that total.
There are over 600 free recycling points nationwide at local authority recycling centres and electrical retailers
Leo Donovan is Chief Executive of WEEE Ireland.
He joined Clem Ryan on Thursday's edition of Kildare Today.
To mark International EWaste Day WEEE Ireland would like to invite you to our Annual Webinar Collaboration for e-circularity. This will be held from 11.30am to 1pm on Thursday the 14th of October 2021. Join in the discussion by registering here https://t.co/ayFlzQMEx8 pic.twitter.com/belNAkDPEd
