Leading housing charity Focus Ireland, says 'it's a disgrace' that 4,000 children will be homeless across Ireland this Christmas.
The latest Department of Housing, figures show 1,939 families in emergency accommodation.
138 people have been registered homeless in Kildare.
That is a small decrease on the previous figures.
Focus Ireland Director of Advocacy, Mike Allen says concrete plans are needed.
