"Extra resources" needed
The Chief Executive of the Irish Primary Principal's Network says school communities are confused regarding the current government guidelines for school children & teachers, saying "We have anxious parents, we have anxious children".
Páiric Clerkin has said the the general public, alongside schools need to work together as a community, to keep everyone safe.
Adding "[W]hen there isn't clear guidance that what causes tension & confusion".
Mr. Clerkin highlighted the need extra resources to be put in place, to keep schools safe & open for students.
He noted in particular boards of management need to have clear information regarding children wearing face coverings, from third class & above, saying "when there is gap in terms of knowledge" requirements cannot be understood.
