2 burst water-mains impacted supply to large parts of the town.
Normal water supply is beginning to return to Celbridge.
Irish Water and Kildare County Council have repaired the second of two burst water mains which have disrupted supply in Celbridge since Sunday morning.
The areas affected included Hazelhatch Road, Hazelhatch Park, Primrose Gate, Hazelwood Park, Simmonstown Park, Primrose Hill, Primrose Village, The Grove, Simmonstown Manor, Callender's Mill, Temple Manor, Chelmsford, Chelmsford Manor and surrounding areas.
The first repair was completed by emergency crews last night, and the second, this morning.
Irish Water says, for those impacted by the second burst "we recommend that customers allow two to three hours for normal supply to fully return."
Peter Thornton of Irish Water says“The repairs proved complex due to a second burst in the area. Crews worked hard during the weekend and have successfully completed the repairs. We understand the inconvenience unplanned outages can have on customers and we appreciate your patience as we worked to return the water supply to homes and businesses as quickly as possible.”
Emergency repairs are underway to a burst water main in Celbridge and are expected to be complete by 5pm today. Some may experience supply disruption during this time. See https://t.co/Gwmw2TNqDJ for affected areas.
