Ireland remains a country where radio has huge power as a medium, with 3.4 million listeners tuning in daily.
The figures are contained in the latest quarterly report of the Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR)
The research conducted by Ipsos B&A reveals that 79.5% of people aged over 15 years listen to radio each day, 521,000 people listen to radio daily on smart speakers, computers, or via phone or TV.
Irish radio has 13.9 million connections or followers across Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok.
Kfm is still Kildare's leading radio station in weekly reach, ahead of all national and regional broadcasting to the county.
Kfm's market share which measures length of time listening has also increased. This means that Kfm listeners are listening longer each day.
Kfm CEO Clem Ryan said the latest JNLR results are assurance to our advertisers that they are reaching more of their target market through Kfm than through any other medium.
He added that the improved results reflect the efforts of Kfm staff to provide a quality local radio service for county Kildare every day of the year.
