Sean Kavanagh (26) of St Mary’s Lane, Monasterevin and Calvin Dunne (24) of Abbey View, Monasterevin, pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to the murder.
A jury has been sworn in to hear the trial of two Kildare men accused of murdering Dylan McCarthy two and a half years ago.
Dylan McCarthy (29) from Limerick, died on August 22, 2022, at Tallaght University Hospital after sustaining severe injuries during an altercation outside a pub on Dublin Road, Monasterevin, the night before.
A postmortem showed the cause of death of the deceased was a brain haemorrhage due to head and neck trauma.
