Traffic counts could be conducted on routes negatively affected by the opening of the Sallins By-Pass.
Volumes have increased, significantly, in Clane following the road's opening and the easing of Covid 19 restrictions.
Social Democrats Cllr., Aidan Farelly, wants Kildare County Council to commission counts on the R407 inbound and outbound to Clane from Sallins and the R407 inbound and outbound to Clane from Kilcock.
He also wants a timeline for completion of both assessments.
The councillor's motion will come before the October meeting of the Clane Maynooth MD for debate on Friday.
