Kfm CEO Clem Ryan said: “This latest research is a major reflection of the power of local radio, which showcases local issues , and where advertisers reach their target customers in real time."
The latest Ipsos/MRBI Joint National Listenership Research Report (JNLR) covering the period from October 2024 to Sept 2025 shows listening levels to local and regional radio continues to be very strong with over 2.2 million adults listening to their local or regional station every day.
For brands, this offers a unique opportunity to connect with audiences at scale — through both live broadcast and digital listening.”
Kfm has increased its listenership again by 2000 listeners to 75,000 over the age of 15; and its Market Share – the length of time people listen, by 2.5%: making Kfm the most listened-to station heard in county Kildare, ahead of all national, regional and other locals.
The research reveals Kfm listeners are listening for longer periods each day, which is a key metric for advertisers to maximise exposure of their brand and value for budget.
Kfm CEO Clem Ryan said: “This latest research is a major reflection of the power of local radio, particularly Kfm, which showcases local issues and interests, and where advertisers can appeal directly to their target customers in real time and get maximum value return on their budgets."
He added: ”A special thank-you to the Kfm listeners and advertisers for their loyalty, and to Kfm staff for their professionalism and hard work.”
