Kfm understands that a house is being searched in the Leinster region near Kiltegan following a major shooting incident at Carlow Shopping centre.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposale (EOD) team are also there.

It is understood that he was aged in his early 20s.
It's also understood that Gardai know who the man is but details are not expected to be released at this time.
Kfm also understands that the man came to the attention of Gardai last year.
A nine-year-old child sustained an injury to the leg during the incident.
Gardaí responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 6pm.
It is believed a lone gunman opened fire at the scene before being pronounced dead a short time later.
A suspicious device was discovered on the man, prompting the deployment of the Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.

Meanwhile, political leaders have been reacting to the news.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin said: "I am deeply shocked and saddened at the shooting incident in Carlow this evening. My thoughts are with the families affected and the local community in Carlow after what was a very serious and traumatic incident."
He added: "I urge anyone who has information to speak to the Gardaí."
