In an online meeting, costs association with Transition Year were outlined to parents.
These included €80 for a tracksuit, the lack of book rental scheme, the use of workbooks and additional fees TY of €400.
The Dept. of Education, in 2016, introduced a range of guidelines aimed at reducing costs for parents, including diversification of uniform suppliers, a book rental scheme, and phasing out of workbooks which cannot be reused.
Kfm News contacted Cross and Passion, Kicullen, for a statement in advance of the interview, and a statement is awaited.
