The latest figures show a fluctuating but overall upward trend in abortion services usage in the county.
In 2019, there were 295 abortions.
The following year, 2020, saw a slight decrease to 264.
In 2021, the number dropped to 165.
In 2022, the figure increased to 318.

Nationally, the number of abortions carried out in Ireland last year rose to 10,033, compared to 8,156 terminations of pregnancy carried out in 2022.
Last year, 21 procedures were performed due to a risk to the mother's life or health.
Additionally, 7 terminations were conducted in emergency situations where there was an immediate risk to life or health.
A further 129 procedures were due to fatal fetal abnormalities, and 9,876 medical abortions were carried out during early pregnancy.
