Kildare Among Worst Affected Counties As 54,000 Lose Power Nationwide

Met Éireann’s Status Orange and Yellow weather warnings remain in place, and ESB Networks says further outages are likely as conditions continue to change.

Storm Bram is continuing to impact the ESB network this afternoon, with around 54,000 homes, farms and businesses without electricity nationwide.

Kildare is among the worst affected counties, along with Wexford, Cork, Tipperary, Dublin, Meath and Westmeath.

Met Éireann’s Status Orange and Yellow weather warnings remain in place, and ESB Networks says further outages are likely as conditions continue to change.

Repair crews and contractor teams have been deployed across the county and nationwide to assess damage and work to make the network safe before restoring power.
