Kildare Businesses Created 323 Jobs With Local Enterprise Office Support Last Year

After accounting for business closures, mergers, and transitions to Enterprise Ireland, the net job creation figure for LEO Kildare-supported businesses stood at 163.

Companies supported by Kildare County Council’s Local Enterprise Office (LEO) generated 323 new jobs in 2024.

After accounting for business closures, mergers, and transitions to Enterprise Ireland, the net job creation figure for LEO Kildare-supported businesses stood at 163.

Nationally, LEO-supported companies now sustain 39,541 jobs across 7,176 businesses - the highest level since the LEO network was established in 2014.

In 2024, 7,104 new jobs were created across Ireland, with a net increase of 2,459 jobs, marking a 7% rise from 2023.

81% of those new roles were based outside Dublin.
