The compliment of fire fighters in Kildare remains below that of Wicklow and Meath

Kildare's area, and population, are greater than both counties.

Kildare Fire Service, under the auspices of Kildare County Council, operates 6 stations with a total of 63 firefighters.

There are 72 fire staff in Meath, and 94 in Wicklow.
