Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Kildare County Council has announced that it will close Celbridge Main Street on the Friday, 17 March 2023 to facilitate Celbridge St Patrick’s Day Parade with road closures starting at 14:30 hrs and finishing about 17:45 hrs.
From the entrance of St. Patricks Park estate on the L5065 to the junction of the R403 (Tea Lane), on the R403 from the junction of Tea Lane to the junction of the R405 (English Row),on the R405 from the junction with the R403 to the entrance to Castletown House (Celbridge Main Street), on the R405 from the entrance to Castletown House to the junction with the R449 Shackleton Road (Maynooth Road).
The alternative route into Celbridge, in respect of the Maynooth side of the town is off the M4 Exit 6 and in respect of the Leixlip side of town is off the M4 Exit 5 and then proceed along the R403.
Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
