Master Plans for two vital areas within the Celbridge Leixlip Municipal District - Ardclough and Leixlip Town - were published today.

Central to the plan is the augmentation of Ardclough's environment, amenities, and biodiversity for the benefit of residents, businesses, and visitors alike. The plan underscores the promotion of tourism potential and the preservation of local culture and heritage to fortify the area's identity.
Key objectives outlined in the plan include the revitalisation of green spaces along the main road; improvements to pedestrian amenities; the creation of a more cohesive streetscape; and measures to enhance safety and connectivity, notably at Henry Bridge and the Grand Canal towpath.
Leixlip Town Renewal Master Plan
The Leixlip Town Renewal Master Plan sets forth a roadmap for tangible and achievable projects geared towards enhancing existing assets and spaces across the town. From major transformative initiatives to improvements in public realm infrastructure, the plan aims to elevate Leixlip's urban landscape.
Highlighted projects in the plan encompass the transformation of Main Street and key public spaces, adaptive reuse and restoration of the Wonderful Barn, the establishment of a Heritage Trail and Play Interventions, and the expansion of cycle infrastructure to promote sustainable mobility.
