Met Eireann is forecasting temperatures could get up to 28 degrees
Kildare and the entire county is expected to "nearly" experience a heatwave this week.
The temperatures - although very high - aren't expected to meet the criteria.
It could get to 28 degrees in places over the weekend.
Gerry Murphy from Met Eireann says it must be 25 degrees for five days to be described as a heatwave:
