Kildare Gardai Seize Car Which Turned To Avoid A Checkpoint.

A driver was arrested in a separate operation, having failed a drugs test.

Kildare Gardai have seized a vehicle which turned from a checkpoint.

The operation by Naas Roads Policing Unit, was mounted on the Monread Road in Naas.

The car turned from the checkpoint and, when stopped, was found to be without tax or insurance.

It has been seized and proceedings against the driver are to follow.

Naas Roads Policing were conducting a checkpoint on the Monread Road in Naas when they saw this car turning to avoid the checkpoint.

The car was stopped, and by using #MobilityDevice, it was found that it had no Insurance or Tax.

In a separate operation, Naas RPU detained a driver.

The motorist was pulled-over, having been found travelling at 85kph in a 60kph zone.

They were drug tested, and indications for cocaine were returned.

Proceedings are to follow.
