Independent.ie reports that this operation will take place close to Usk Little, and that "Detectives do not believe the murders of the two young women are directly linked but are carrying out the searches as part of both inquiries."
18 year old student teacher, Deirdre Jacob, was last seen on the afternoon of July 28th, 1998, close to her home in Roseberry, Newbridge.

Jo Jo Dullard, then 21, was last seen in Moone, having made a phone call while hitching lifts from Dublin to her home in Callan, Co. Kilkenny, on November 9th, 1995.
Independent.ie has learned that “significant” information was recently passed to the team investigating the murder of Ms. Jacob, relating to suspicious activity in the wooded area near the Kildare/Wicklow border at the time of her disappearance, which has only recently been reported to Gardai.

The cold case searches will be extensive and are likely to take weeks involving teams from the Garda Technical Bureau, Forensic Science Ireland, & the garda dog unit.
