Dublin had the highest number of no-shows at 1,875
Almost 5,000 people had not sat their scheduled driving test between January and the end of July this year.
The number has surged since 2023, with a monthly average of 692 drivers not turning up to booked tests.
No-shows account for almost 3% of all tests booked, with Dublin experiencing the highest number at 1,875.
Kildare was 4th in the list of counties with the highest number of no-shows at 202.
Meath had 177 no-shows, with Carlow having 121 and Wicklow having 57.
Longford had the lowest number of no-shows at 34.
No-shows are not entitled to a refund, resulting in almost €412,000 for the RSA.
For the no-shows in Kildare, €17,170 was retained by the RSA.
